Fifty-six years ago, T.Low Dental Clinic opened its doors on Jalan SS2/24. This year, the anniversary began before the ribbons and balloons went up — with a dental health morning for children from Persatuan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim Hajah Kamariah, Taman Medan, followed by an afternoon of speeches, gifts, and lunch together on the street outside the clinic.

A dental lesson for young guests
Before the party started, the clinic welcomed children from Persatuan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim Hajah Kamariah for a hands-on morning — a giant set of teeth for a brushing demonstration, and a classroom session on why the little things, two minutes twice a day, matter.
Setting the street for a party
While the classroom emptied out, the block outside the clinic filled in — a tea table stacked three tiers high with kuih and pastries, and a navy-and-gold marquee going up.
Speeches and well-wishes
The mic came out, the balloons went up, and the marquee filled with guests, staff, and the visiting children — all there to mark 56 years of the clinic’s work in SS2.

A queue formed at the official anniversary backdrop, and the Mediwira tote bags started making their way into small hands.
Lunch under the tent
The afternoon wound down the way these things should — plates piled high, orange squash poured to the brim, and the whole group sitting down together for a meal before heading home.
